  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley leaves
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

For the Topping:

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, diced onion, milk, beaten egg, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Use your hands to mix these ingredients together until they are well combined.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan. Pat it down to create an even layer.
  4. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of ketchup with the brown sugar and vinegar. Stir until the mixture is well combined. Pour this sauce over the meatloaf and spread it out evenly.
  5. Bake the meatloaf uncovered for 55 minutes.

Optional:

For a cheesy twist, you can add melted cheese on top of the meatloaf during the last 10 minutes of baking instead of the ketchup topping.
